Winemaker's Notes
The 2024 Aia Vecchia Lagone is a Toscana IGT blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Its fruit is drawn from sites near Bolgheri and in Maremma, combining the character of coastal Tuscany with vineyards rooted in mixed sand, clay and limestone soils.
After malolactic fermentation in barriques, the wine spends twelve months in French and American oak and then rests further in bottle. The result is a generous, structured red whose ripe fruit, spice and polished texture make it well suited to substantial pasta dishes, roasted meats and aged cheeses.
