Winemaker's Notes

For the 2021 Pian delle Vigne Brunello di Montalcino, Antinori reports a ruby color and a bouquet that moves from loquat and yellow flowers to blood orange, menthol, and tobacco. Red-fruit flavor, fine savory tannins, and a long spicy close shape a fresh, polished expression of the vintage.

Antinori fermented the gently crushed grapes in stainless steel and kept the wine on the skins for roughly twelve days. Following malolactic fermentation, the Brunello matured for two years in oak before further maturation prior to release, supporting the estate’s focus on Sangiovese character, structure, and vibrant elegance.
