Winemaker's Notes
The 2022 Boscarelli Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is rooted in Cervognano, east of Montepulciano, on vineyards with calcareous, alluvial and sandy soils. Sangiovese Prugnolo Gentile forms the core, with Colorino, Canaiolo and Mammolo adding complementary character to this Tuscan DOCG red.
After manual harvest, the grapes ferment with indigenous yeasts in oak or steel before the wine matures for 18 to 24 months in Allier and Slavonian oak. Boscarelli describes an elegant profile of roses, violets, sour cherry, berry preserves, spice and licorice, balanced by freshness and complexity.
