Winemaker's Notes
From Cantina Zaccagnini's Tralcetto range, this Pinot Grigio is rooted in the clay soils around Chieti in Abruzzo. A small vine cutting is fastened to every bottle by hand, an artisanal detail that expresses the winery's longstanding link between its vineyards, local tradition, and place.
After an early harvest, the grapes are destemmed and gently pressed under vacuum, with only the clear juice fraction fermented at low temperature for ten days. The wine then rests on its lees in stainless steel, a process designed to preserve freshness, aromatic clarity, and a light structure.
The producer describes a straw-yellow wine with fragrant pear, green apple, and subtle herbal tones. Its fresh, savory palate carries crisp white-fruit character and works well alongside grilled vegetables, fresh cheeses, white-meat dishes, or a light and delicately topped pizza.
