Winemaker’s Notes
The 2023 Chemistry Pinot Noir draws on Oregon-grown fruit for a red that combines cherry, gentle spice and earthy detail. Made entirely from Pinot Noir, it offers a lively expression of the state's vineyards.
A pre-fermentation cold soak and restrained oak influence shape the wine's character. Enjoy this 750 ml Oregon Pinot Noir alongside roasted poultry, grilled salmon or a savory mushroom supper.
Critic Ratings
My favorite Chemistry wine yet opens with a holiday-like mix of blackberry and gingerbread aromas. Then, with a bit of air, aromas of earth and earthy-woodsy maitake mushrooms kick in. Bright acidity and velvety tannins are the backdrop for the wine's flavors of pie cherries, blueberries, orange zest as well as a rich, savory note similar to beef tallow. Umami.
