The Coombsville AVA is Napa Valley’s southernmost growing region for Cabernet Sauvignon, and our estate was among its first vineyards planted in 1998. Nestled into the rocky ruins of an ancient caldera, volcanic soils and marine breezes from the nearby San Pablo Bay combine to offer polish and structure alongside consistent Napa ripeness. It is a special corner of Napa that allows us to fully express the land as we continue to pursue our craft of perfecting a modern classic.
The Pact 20201 lives up to Faust legend with beautiful dark blueberry and blackberry aromas over layers of crushed-rock minerality, haunting forest notes and hints of violet. With the texture of velvet—luxuriously dense—the palate wraps that core of blue and back fruit with the barest edge of bright cherry spiced with star anise and savory dried tarragon. Silky tannins and generous ripe fruit linger through an endless, vibrant finish. There’s a long life ahead for this Cabernet.

James Suckling Review - Rated 97:
So many graphite and pencil shaving aromas here with blue fruits. Slate and tar undertones. Black and red currants. Some ash. Medium-bodied with open grained tannins. So much iron and rust with lead and mussel shell. Then turns to pine cone and cedar. Really complex and flavor intensive. Love to drink it now as a young wine. This evolves all the time. It will age beautifully. Better in three to five years. But I can’t wait.
