Il Poggione Brunello di Montalcino 2021 is made entirely from Sangiovese picked by hand in the estate's oldest vineyards. After fermentation at controlled temperature, the wine matures in large French oak casks and then rests in bottle, a sequence designed to build depth and harmony.
For the 2021 release, the estate describes a ruby-red appearance, persistent red-fruit aromas, a warm and balanced palate, and velvety tannins. Its long aromatic finish suits traditional pairings such as red meat, game, and aged cheese.
