Winemaker's Notes
Drawn from selected Clos Apalta parcels, the 2024 Cuvée Alexandre Cabernet Sauvignon reflects Lapostolle's estate in the Apalta Valley. Cabernet Sauvignon leads the blend at 85%, with 14% Syrah and 1% Cabernet Franc adding dimension while preserving the wine's clear Cabernet character and firm shape.
Red berries, currants, and savory dark spice introduce a polished palate with fresh cherry, gentle toast, and velvety, persistent tannins. The wine matured for twelve months in French oak, using 10% new and 90% previously used barrels, a restrained program that complements its freshness and extended finish.

James Suckling Review - Rated 94: A fresh nose full of fruit. Dark cherries, fresh blueberries, spices, crushed stones and olives. A touch of graphite, too. Well-structured and vertical on the palate, but there is also fluidity in the center palate filled with fruit. Tight grip of crunchy tannins at the end before a long, fruit-expressive finish. Drink from 2025.
