Winemaker's Notes
Mongris is Marco Felluga's single-varietal Pinot Grigio from Collio DOC, with fruit drawn from Farra d'Isonzo, San Floriano and Cormons. The cuvee's name joins the idea of a monovarietal wine with gris, the Friulian word for gray and a reference to Pinot Grigio.
Hand-picked grapes undergo cold maceration before gentle pressing and temperature-controlled stainless-steel fermentation. The wine then spends six months refining on its lees before further bottle aging. Golden yellow color and copper accents introduce acacia, broom and apple aromas, followed by a full, structured palate and persistent finish.
