Description
The 2024 Mastroberardino Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Rosso centers on Piedirosso from vineyards in the volcanic landscape around Vesuvius. The winery notes that loose, mineral-rich soils drain well, while southeast exposure and moderate elevation help define the distinctive Campanian setting behind the wine.
Cherry and plum aromas meet pepper, clove, mineral tones, and a subtle smoky accent in the producer's profile. The palate is fresh and easy to enjoy, carrying fruit and spice into pairings with pizza, pasta in tomato sauce, lentil dishes, cheeses, grilled swordfish, or richly prepared red meat.
