Description
The Sagrantino Montefalco DOCG is produced with 100% Sagrantino grapes. The grapes are picked quite late at the end of October and the production process considers different phases where the temperature is always supervised.
It has an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections (typical for the Sagrantino vines). It is deep, satin and only at the sight, it is rich of body. The aroma has a rich spicy bouquet with cinnamon hints which don’t cover the red fruits, cherry or black cherry aromas that evolve in a dry prune hints when aged in bottles. The taste is full and persistent, quite tannic with a pleasant and persistent slightly bitter aftertaste.
