Planeta's 2024 Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG is produced from the Dorilli and Mogli vineyards near Acate in southeastern Sicily. The blend joins 60% Nero d'Avola with 40% Frappato, both native grapes, on the area's loose red sands and the deeper tufa layer that helps hold water for the vines.
Planeta's general profile for the wine moves from cherry, strawberry and pomegranate aromas toward mulberry and an array of savory spices. Black pepper, carob and sweet cherry carry through the palate, finishing with the lively, rounded character associated with its organically farmed, SOStain-managed sites.
