Violet flashes brighten its deep red color, while the nose centers on fresh fruit, plum, and cherry. Full in body and firmly structured, the palate carries a deep texture into a pleasant plum-jam finish; the producer suggests serving it slightly chilled with grilled meats, duck, vegetables, or assertive cheeses.
