Winemaker's Notes
Silver Oak presents its 2021 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as a composed, layered expression of a notably balanced growing season. A cool spring and limited rainfall slowed early growth, allowing measured ripening and careful berry development that the winery associates with concentration, depth and expressive character.
The aromatic profile moves through blueberry, licorice, delicate flowers and wintergreen before opening to darker fruit on the palate. Silky tannins and medium acidity give the wine shape, while blackberry, cinnamon, baking spice and toasted coconut extend a steady, warming finish.
For this release, the blend was assembled before barrel aging and then matured for 24 months in American oak from Silver Oak's cooperage. That sequence lets the vineyard lots come together ahead of the oak influence, supporting the integrated style the winery seeks at release.
