Fruit for the 2024 Stags' Leap Chardonnay comes primarily from Carneros, with a smaller share from Oak Knoll in southern Napa Valley. Cooling fog from San Pablo Bay supports acidity and freshness, while these sites contribute citrus, crisp apple, mineral, tropical-fruit, and stone-fruit qualities.
Lemon crème, pineapple, melon, delicate flowers, apple, pear, and lemon curd shape the 2024 profile, joined by vanilla, toast, ginger, and a creamy texture. Fermentation across stainless steel and French oak, followed by lees stirring without malolactic fermentation, balances fruit purity, subtle oak complexity, and a long mineral finish.
