Winemaker's Notes

Ruby red in color with purple hues, the nose releases a complexity of aromas ranging from ripe red fruits and Mediterranean scrub to delicate notes of tobacco and spices. Smooth, silky and delicious on the palate, with a balance of thick and elegant tannins, and a long finish.

Extremely perfumed and aromatic with rose petals, lavender and violets. Hints of fresh herbs to the blackcurrant fruit. Medium-to full-bodied with very fine tannins and a long, persistent finish. It goes on for minutes. I love the balance of this. Drink or hold.

The 2020 Il Pino di Biserno is bold and ripe with creamy blackberry, candied cherry, spice and tarry smoke. There are pressed roses, blood oranges and tea leaves buried deep inside. The tannins are pronounced, but this full-bodied Tuscan red is almost ready to go straight out of the gate. The blend is Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
