One of the orginial McLaren Vale pioneers, Thomas Goss, his wife Mary, and their children arrived in South Australia from Devonshire in 1849. After success in the Victorian gold fields he established an iconic farming property in McLaren Vale which is now home to some of the region's leading vineyards.
The Merlot grapes used to make this wine have been sourced from vineyards planted on the original Goss property. This elegant style of McLaren Vale Merlot has lifted bouquet of red berry fruit, plum and spice supported by a fine savory tannin structure, this wine is soft and round. A perfect complement to a wide variety of meal choices, especially red meats and pasta dishes.
