Description
The magnificent Linton’s winery, the producers of Rhino Wines, was founded by French Huguenot Louis Fourie in 1699 on land granted by Cape Governor Adrian Van Der Stel. It covers 294 hectares, of which 100 are planted in vines, on the fertile slopes of the majestic Groenberg Mountain. With high rainfall, rich soils and moderate summer temperatures, a special micro-climate is created in which the winery grows their grapes, each varietal grown in the most suitable terroir.
Pale lemon in the glass, this wine is made with 100% Chenin Blanc grapes, hand harvested at dawn to keep grapes cool for vinification. It is unwooded to preserve the natural fruit flavors of the grape variety. It offers a fresh, delicate character with fruity aromas. It’s well balanced on the palate with tropical flavors like guava, citrus and passion fruit. Note its crisp, lingering finish. Delight in this wine now, as an aperitif or with salads, pasta, seafood and white meat dishes.
